Introduction to Quadratic Equations

k1
Learning Objectives:

At the end of the session, you should be able to

 Illustrate quadratic equations (M9AL-la-1)

 Illustrate and identify quadratic equations

 Write quadratic equations in standard form; and

 Determine the components of quadratic equations

You learned about linear equation in one variable which id in the form of ax + b = 0, where a

is not 0 otherwise the equation is constant. Quadratic equation is in the form of ax2 + bx + c = 0

and a cannot be zero otherwise the equation will become linear equation.

Activity: What’s my Degree?

Direction: Identify the degree of the given polynomials in one variable.
