MARKET OF CALAPAN CITY

Statement of the Problem:


The focus of this study is to determine the health practices and evaluate the safety level in the
City Public Market of Calapan. Particularly, the respondents included their health practices regarding to
their safety.

Specifically, the study sought to answer the following questions:

1. What are the health practices in Calapan City Public Market?

b. Workplace neatness
c. Vendors appropriate clothing

1. Vendors practice proper usage of alcohol.
2. Washing your personal utensils regularly.
3. Washing your hands with soap after going to the public toilet
4. Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue (or your sleeve) when
sneezing.
5. Cleaning your body regularly

2. Disinfecting every each of your facilities.
3. Providing hygiene materials for workers and consumers.
4. Maintaining the cleanliness of the things that are near your products.

2. Wearing apron (for meat and fish vendors) or wearing appropriate
shirt (for other market vendors).
3. Wearing gloves when facilitating your merchandise/goods.

3. Identifying the potential hazards that be may present in the workplace of the
vendors.
4. Have a good improvement regarding the ways of following the safety
measures for the safeness of the vendors.
5. Doing the safety measures is a one way of ensuring vendor's safeness.
