Prof. V.S. Raju Consultants was started in May 2003 with an objective of providing
value engineering to select clients based on invitation. The prime area of focus is on
conceptualization, review of designs, optimization with quality leading to saving of time
and cost.

Prof. V.S. Raju:
Ph. D in geotechnical engineering from University of Karlsruhe, Germany.

He was formerly:
a) The Director, IIT Delhi
b) Professor, Head and Dean, IIT Madras
Prof. Raju has over 50 years of extensive experience in various consultancy projects in
Geotechnical & Foundation Engineering. Involved in more than 650 projects across
India and some abroad. Some of the major projects include:

▪ Hydro Electric and Thermal Power Projects including ash ponds

▪ International Airports
▪ Multi-storeyed buildings, housing projects and stadia
▪ Port and harbor structures and offshore platforms
▪ Refineries and Petrochemical projects

▪ Rehabilitation of slopes supporting aqueduct

Mr. C.R.Balaji, Principal Engineer with 25 years of experience. Has extensive
experience in foundation designs for multi-storeyed buildings, housing projects, airports,
port and harbour structures, ash ponds.
