1. Explain how the Philippines developed as an event/MICE destination. (15

points)

Based on what I watched in the video we know that the Philippines' mice industry,
sometimes known as the special events industry, is one of the fastest expanding
categories. The Philippines is an outstanding MICE destination due to its low-cost
structure and simple availability. We almost went behind trends or left our nation behind
when it came to technology in the early days when our country was not highly
developed, but now we are ahead of trends or technology.

2. How do you think the Philippines compares with its neighboring countries in
Southeast Asia in terms of developments in the events industry? (15 points)

Philippines and southeast asia have almost the same economic size but have different
economic setups. We know that the Philippines is a south Asian island country in the
western Pacific Ocean. It is also home to world-renowned natural wonders such as an
underground river and rice terraces, amazing diving areas rich in biodiversity, and
colorful public transportation in the Philippines.

3. What should the Philippines do to gain better competitive advantage in the

event industry? (20 points)
Wedding event
To gain better competitive advantage in the Wedding Events is that can contribute to
increased economic activity, particularly in the employment of caterers, florists,
musicians, and photographers. The business community is working with the
government to close gaps in ease of doing business, corruption incidence, and
infrastructure, particularly road connectivity.
