NARRATIVE REPORT

“To question well is to teach well.” In the skillful use of questions, more than
anything else, lies the fine art of teaching.” This qoutaion profoundly explains the
importance of re-skilling teachers on developing assessment tools particularly questions
which was the topic discussed by Mrs. Miamie L. Sison, Master Teacher I on the 5 th day
of INSET.

The terminal objectives of the LAC were for the teachers to develop quality
assessment tools in the context of the learners and enabling objectives were to develop
multiple choice tests as assessment tools and phrase multiple choice questions
effectively. The session began with the discussion of what assessment tools are and the
description of the different type of such. The rest of the session was focused on the
construction of multiple-choice questions.

The facilitator delved on the methods of properly constructing multiple choice
questions., the common mistakes done by teachers and suggestions on how to hrase
multiple choice questions as well.

The teachers were given an activity on evaluating samples of multiple-choice


questions and rephrasing them, applying what they learned from the INSET.

Teachers were required to construct/framed multiple choice questions based


from the previously prepared TOS on the learning area they are teaching for the third
quarter.
After the session, the teachers were given time to reflect on what they learned
from the session.

NARRATIVE REPORT

Du ring our LAC Session dated October 14, 2022, Mrs Miamie L. Sison, Master
Teacher I of Alos Elementary School talks about the strategies Towards Effective
Teaching and Learning.

The session aims to describe the different learning styles, Identify the factors
that affects learning, differentiate intrinsic from extrinsic motivation, discuss the
advantages and disadvantages of using verbal phrase as an educational motivator and
apply the principles of motivation to the learning process.

The topic discussed were very timely and relevant during this time. Mrs, Sison,
given as situations and encourages us to share our experiences that is related to topic
being discussed. Teachers were very eager to take part in the discussion as they talk
about their experiences in this session because everyone has their own story and
experiences to tell. The LAC Session became interactive.

The veteran teachers have more stories to tell where the young one’s can pick
lessons and learned from it. They showed the youngsters that the longer you are in
service the more lessons and teaching strategies you will discover and learn.

In the end, we are able to learn from each other’s experiences and hoping that
we will be able to apply these learnings into action during our class sessions.

SITUATION: The pupil Lebron Dwayne Salazar is refered to Mrs.


Jenifer Balecha, School Clinic Teacher by her adviser
Ms. Bantolin upon seeing the rashes on the childs neck.
As the teachers both cannot identify if it is chicken pox
or Foot and Mouth Disease, Mrs. Balecha took pictures
and ask for the advice of the Division Clinic Personnels.
While we are waiting for their response the kid was
isolated and parent/guardian were called immediately to
fetch the child and bring him home. The
parent/guardian were also advised to have the child be
check-up by Doctor to confirmed its case.
Based on the pictures forwarded to the Division
Personnel, the case of child Lebron Dwayne Salazar of
Grade 5-Masipag is foot and mouth disease as
confirmed by Dra December Blanche Benitez.
The parent/guardian is advised to isolate the child for 7
days and allow him to comeback to school when he is
fully recovered.
