The document discusses the arguments around whether it is better to shop at a small shop or a large shopping mall. It outlines three key factors in the debate: price, service quality, and product quality. While price may be similar between the two options, the document argues that service and quality are generally better at small, local shops. Small shops can focus exclusively on a limited product line, offer more personalized service due to fewer customers, and strive for high quality to compete against larger stores. Therefore, the conclusion is that small, local businesses are preferable to large shopping malls despite similar pricing.

To this day, there are many arguments lead by shopaholics
associated with shopping. The thing they fight about is if it is better to shop at a small shop or at a huge shopping center. These arguments seem to have a focus on the price of items, service quality and the quality of items.
To begin with, it is given that price is one of the most important
factors. Things should be cheaper in a little shop because the shop is focused on that one thing, as a result, it buys only that one thing at a cheaper price. Also, it is less visited, so they put smaller prices to make more people come there. On the other hand, shopping centers should have smaller prices because the items are bought in larger quantities, because shops in malls are far more visited than local tiny stores. Therefore, the price is about the same.
Secondly, service quality affects the overall atmosphere of
shopping, because if you have a shop where no one helps you buy, you are not going to be happy with buying things there. Little stores should have better services, because they have less people there to help with buying and malls have more people coming so the service is not that great.
Finally, it is without a doubt, that quality is as important as
price, because if you have something expensive, but it is not high quality, you will be furious. Small shops tend to have items of better quality than big malls because they are focused on that small thing, hence they try to find the thing at the best quality. Also, as mentioned earlier, shops in malls buy things at larger quantities and the old saying “Quality isn’t quantity.” proves even worse quality of the items.
To summarize this, even though the price is the same, the
service and item quality seems to be better in local businesses, therefore I disagree, that it is better to go to shopping centers than to small, local shops. I think, that if we would all go to small and local businesses, we would be much happier.
