ㅡ Hello, My name is Luz M. Rodriguez-Moreno, I am currently enrolled at
Luz Maria Rodriguez-Moreno Carson High School as an AP student and am interested in future

I am an ideal fit for this program due to my strong work ethic and
proactive positive attitude. I am quite compassionate and responsible for
my peers and myself. In the near future, I hope to become an
environmental scientist due to my strong passion for the science field
and proficient knowledge in astronomy, and biology. I am strong-willed
and have maintained an average 3.0 -3.4 GPA while balancing my
school/home life with three AP classes: AP English Language, AP
Environmental Science, AP US. History my Junior year and AP English
Literature and AP Computer Science my Senior year.

My knowledge in the science field makes me the perfect candidate to

point out sustainable and unsustainable habits such as littering, dumping
in ocean drains, etc. I am a good analyzer of different events and others'
habituation skills; This makes me a strong team member in a unit when
directing whether an idea should benefit our environment and should
provide sustainable alternatives. My knowledge of science tools and
their safety regulations provides me with the ability to keep not only
others but also myself from harm.

Some of my Hard/Soft skills are that I understand good work ethics and
strive for success. As for hobbies, I enjoy reading and listening to music.
Being a first-generation Mexican-American helps me in situations where
people are in need of translation due to me being bilingual. I embrace my
Mexican Heritage with pride. This inspires me to continue being me and
to do immaculate in school.

Apart from the passion I have for science I am also a Couturier. I like to
sew and often do sewing projects in my spare time. I mend anything that
is in need of fixing. I love sewing and prefer hand sewing rather than a
sewing machine since it's more conventional.
