Yoga Flow Outline
This is the list of poses in the Yoga Flow as seen in the Yoga Pose Cards. It is written
out in the exact way you would you say the poses as you do them, including the
words in italics.
1. Each pose should only been done for 1 breath the first few times through. (Just
enough time for you to say it and the kids to repeat the name).
2. Announce when you switch feet so you can do the standing postures on both
sides.
3. As they improve, you can spend more time on certain poses and add in new and
more challenging postures as well.
4. Play around with it and ask them to lead from time to time once they get
comfortable. You’ll be surprised with how quickly they pick it up and can lead and
create all on their own!

Mini Bonus Flows to Include in Your
Yoga Flow
Below is a list of poses you can call out in your Yoga Flow. In italics you’ll find
descriptions of these poses, and those in bold are poses that are already included in
the Kids Yoga Cards for a Yoga Flow deck.

Add these into your Yoga Flow only after kids have mastered the basics and have
demonstrated they can watch carefully and follow along.

Please note that some of these will be tricky for kids under the age of 7, especially if
they are just starting out.

Back and Core Strengthening Flow:

Make sure to roll out your wrists and stretch your fingers before and after this set to
protect your wrists.

Always model a large star hand, spreading your fingers wide on the floor with
your fingers pointing forward. This creates a stable base for the hands and arms
when balancing.

Flow for Hip Flexibility (prep for the splits!)
This is a fun set for kids who are close to doing the splits and want to work on that

It’s also fun because there is a lot of going up and down and repetition. This is a
classic favorite for all ages, especially if you add in animal sounds with littler kids.
