Chapter V

Summary of Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations

This chapter analyzes the data and information gathered in the study, reviews the

significant aspects and summarizes its findings. This chapter also draws conclusion and offers

recommendation based on the findings.

Restatement of the Problem

1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of modular learning platform for students?

2. What are the issues or problems that the students experienced during the modular

learning platform?

3. How does the students handle the pressure and tight deadlines under modular learning?

Summary of Findings

1.What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of modular learning platform to you?

1.1 What are the Advantages?

Based on the data result, 37.5%, which falls in the theme of “Safetiness”, reveals that the

majority of students are safe during the modular learning as the students are just staying in their

respective homes. In addition, the data further reveals that parents have less concern for the
safety of their children. The data further shows that modular learning is effective, especially in

the case of pandemics.

1.2 What are the Disadvantages?

The data result reveals that 85% of the students under the theme “Stressful” have

suffered difficulties during the modular learning because they can’t understand the lessons for

the reasons that no one can help them, there’s no guidance from the teacher, and they also lack of

time.

2.What are the issues or problems that you have experienced during the modular learning?

Based on the data result, 83.3%, which falls in the theme of “Hardships,” reveals that the

students mostly experienced stress due to the workload activities as well as the fact that they

couldn’t comprehend the lessons, they lacked resources, and they needed someone who could

further explain and be asked about a certain lesson.

3.How stressful is you during the modular learning?

The data results reveal that 77% of the students under the theme of “Struggles” are very

stressed during the modular learning because they can’t comprehend the lessons and no one can

help them understand the lessons. In addition, it also reveals that students have experienced more

stress compared to the normal classes.

4.How do you handle the pressure and tight deadlines under modular learning?

Based on the data result, 79.2% of students under the theme “Responsible” reveal that

they handle the pressure by creating schedules or doing time management and prioritizing the

important ones so that they can pass their modules on time and save time as well.

5.Did you have time management in answering your modules during the modular learning?

Based on the data result, 87.5% under the theme of “value,” reveals that students have

time management in answering their modules, and for this, students have fewer struggles as they

are using time management in accomplishing their task at the right time and on time.

CONCLUSIONS

1.1 Based on the findings, the researchers therefore conclude that modular learning is an

effective learning platform because in this type of learning, students stay in their own comfort

zones, which helps them prevent viruses and keeps them safe.

1.2 The researchers therefore conclude that in modular learning, students have encountered

difficulty. In addition, students can’t learn on their own and don’t know how to manage their

time.
2. The researchers conclude that students have encountered struggles because they don’t know

how to self-learn or be independent, and they have no resources.

3. Based on the findings, the researchers conclude that modular learning is difficult to adapt as

compared to regular classes because the information is sometimes not clear and concise.

4. The researchers therefore conclude that modular learning is an effective learning platform for

the reason that students are responsible and independent, which leads them to have no difficulty.

5. Based on the findings, the researchers conclude that time management is crucial in

accomplishing the tasks, especially in times of pandemic.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1.1 The researchers therefore recommend that modular learning should also be implemented in

the future, especially in the case of a pandemic, because this method can further fulfill the

learning of the students at all levels despite the pandemic.

1.2 The researchers therefore respectfully recommend that school administrators and teachers

further consider the knowledge and the situations of the learners. In the modules, concrete

examples and explanations should be given so that students can also comprehend the lessons.
2. The researchers recommended that students should improve their self-learning skills or

practice being independent. As to the administrators and educators, the researchers respectfully

recommended they also consider specifying the knowledge of the students, in which they must

receive clear and concise information from the modules.

3. The researchers therefore recommend that students organize their time and practice being

independent. In addition, students should further be given a concise guide assessment that directs

the learners in what action to take to further prevent stress.

4. The researchers found that students are responsible and independent during modular learning

Therefore, the researchers recommend that students should continue having a strong sense of

being responsible and knowing how to manage their time as well as prioritizing important ones.

5. The researchers found that students have time management skills during modular learning.

Therefore, the researchers recommend that learners should continue to practice time management

because this behavior can further help the students or even the teacher to accomplish the task and

prevent workload activities.
