RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

3.1 Research Methods

Research is the systematic way of investigation or the study of materials or

sources so that a fact or conclusion could be established. The aim of research method is to
carefully study the topic and to collect data from different types of sources. It is a way or
a process to find solutions or result for a given problem which may be also refer to as a
research problem.

The researcher used a descriptive research method which describes the

characteristics of the population or phenomenon that is being studied. The methodology
focuses more on the “what” of the research subject. It is concerned with the current
condition and relationships related to beliefs, processes involved, cultural and social
aspect or current trends in the subject. The term refers to the type of research question,
design, and data analysis that will be applied to a given topic.

This method will help the researcher to analyze and understand the required
information regarding about “Robotics” and the alike that will help the researcher to
know the key issues and will help to formulate solution to the addressed problems.

3.2 Sources of Data

Sources of data will be the collected information or facts of the researcher for a
specific topic or research subject. Data can be defined in two manners, quantitative or

qualitative values of a variable. They are broadly classified into primary and secondary
data and can be collected in different kind of ways.

The sources of data that the researcher used were books and articles from the
library. Magazines and information that could be collected from the internet sources.
Through internet sources, data will be gathered easily with regards to its author or
publisher. Case studies will also be used as a tool by the researcher to analyze facilities of
existing and proposed projects of the same field with the study help as basis for the
proposal.

Through the different sources of data or tools that will be gathered, collecting
information could be easily access. Accumulated data for analysis will be sourced from
the municipality of site that has been commissioned or conducted by the local
government.

3.3 Design Objectives

There are numbers of ways for collecting data that will be use in the
performance of a study about a particular field. It is a process in which collecting
information from the relevant sources to find answers to research problem, test the
hypothesis and evaluate the possible outcome.

Through the use of those methods by researcher, collecting data could be less
hard and accessible by public. Some of the methods are also inexpensive to use to gather
information and results may be easier to analyze.
