INTRODUCTION

Project Context

Tricycles are one way of public transport in the

Philippines. Passenger tricycles can accommodate from
four passengers up to as many as six or more excluding
the driver. Goods can be placed on the roof. One or two
passengers can sit behind the driver while several more
can sit in the sidecar depending upon the design.
Tricycles are often painted colorfully. In rainy weather,
a tricycles will be completely enclosed in heavy plastic
covering. Fares in riding tricycle range from 10 to 300
pessos, depending on the locality and distance to be
ridden. Tricycles are the second most popular means of
transportation in the Philippines.

Tricycles in Lokeb Norte is the most important

transportation in going to market and anyplace you want
to go. So passenger tricycles in Lokeb Norte started last
1980 according to Romeo D. Mamaril the 1st President toda
of the said place. Passenger tricycles started a few
until become many.

So in order to have a systematic rides in Lokeb

Norte the researchers decided to help the people and the
drivers by creating a booking system to easily facilitate
the rides.
Purpose and Description

The people of BRGY. Lokeb Norte were in difficulty in

riding tricycles so the researchers decided to help the
people of Lokeb Norte by creating a booking system to easily
facilitate the rides. Booking system can be access easily by
contacting the president of the Lokeb Norte TODA or going in
his house.

Objective of the Study

The project proposal titled “Barangay Lokeb Norte

Tricycle Booking System” is about how passenger can easily
booked a tricycle less hassle. The president can easily
manage the tricycle driver and to avoid the fraud of the
color coded drivers.

Scope and Delimitation

This study is to create a booking system for BRGY Lokeb

Norte. The researcher plan to start the study as soon as
possible so that the president of Lokeb Norte TODA can use
the system immediately. The system will produce quick results
and avoid incorrect placement of places or destinations. The
admin of the tricycle booking system can create a schedule
for the drivers of the tricycle and view the available driver
for the clients. This systems restriction is the users who
are not registered in the database are not allowed to check.
Only admin can see results.
Significance of the Study

The person who will benefit the Barangay Lokeb Norte

Tricycle Booking System are the following:

Toda President - Toda presidents of the institution can now

focus on analyzing the performance of individual drivers to
identify their strengths, potentials, and weaknesses based on
an accurate and reliable record of performance that a Toda
driver and effectively uses data on merit payment and
promotion decisions. This system will help the person in-
charge reduce their time spent on processing, encoding, and
calculating the analysis.

Passenger - The system gives passengers the freedom to

express their appreciation to good Toda drivers and a way to
convey their feelings and satisfaction about their non -
performing drivers without restrictions.

Passenger – This system will provide an instant tricycle for

the passenger so they won’t wait longer.

Driver – this system will make the driver less difficult to

find passenger and reduce the fuel consumption.

Booking System- This will assist future researchers who

desire to use this work as a reference or as a guide in their
future projects.
