Ans: Spinning is the process of making yarn from fibre. Fibres from a mass
of cotton wool are drawn out and twisted in this process to bring the fibre
together to form a yarn. Hand spindle or takli is a simple device used for
spinning. Charkha is a hand operated device which is also used for spinning.
