Specifications

1. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR WORKS (to be Supplied by contractor):

1.1 Material/Goods:
NEA shall provide to contractor all the materials/Goods required (except the line
materials/Goods mentioned in BOQ to be supplied by contractor) for construction of HT/LT distribution
line at its main office premises/store. The physical dimension and quality of the line
materials/Goods to be supplied by contractor should be according to BOQ/NEA Standard. The line
material/Goods to be supplied shall be tested and measured by NEA before erection and
installation in the site.
1.2 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION/ERRECTION WORKS:
1.2.1 Erection of STP/PSC Pole:
 Transportation of poles & other materials from store to construction site.
 A minimum of 1.5 meter depth hole for 8/9 meter Poles and 1.8m depth hole for 11 meter poles
shall be dug for erection of the pole. After erection, proper ramming shall be done
around the pole.
 The pole should be straight (perpendicular to the ground.)

1.2.2 Erection of Stay set and Stay Wire:

 The stay plate shall be buried at the depth of 6 feet.
 The stay insulator shall be placed in stay wire at least 2.5m above ground level.
 The stay wire must be in adequate tension.

1.2.3 Dismantling/Re-tension/Stringing of ACSR conductors (0.10, 0.05 &/or 0.03 Sq. Inch) as
HT/LT Lines:
 Transportation of Conductor & all the required accessories from store to construction site.
 The conductors shall be in adequate tension after stringing/re-tension.
 The stringing of conductor includes fittings of channel, bracket, pin insulator, disc
insulator, anchor clamps, suspension clamps, D-iron shackle.
 The dead end points & jumpering shall be done using adequate PG-clamp as required &
instructed by engineer incharge.
 The double disk insulator shall be installed in certain points of network as instructed by the engineer
incharge.
 The size of conductors to be string in particular span/poles shall be as instructed by NEA.
 The conductor should have no wear & tear while opening from the drum & laying on the ground.
 Other works deemed at site shall be done as directed by the Employer.

1.2.4 11/0.4 kV Distribution Transformer installation/upgrading works:

 Transportation of Transformer and all the required accessories from store to construction
site.Transportation of remaining Transformer after upgrading work from construction site
to office store.
 Fitting of transformer tower set, D.O./L.A./Base channels, I- Bracket etc
 3 sets of Earthing installation at separate places.
 Earthing connection with transformer neutral, body and lightning.
 Lightning arrestor and D/O fuse set installation.
 Jumpering with suitable clamps.
 MCCB box and MCCB should be fitted with suitable height & directed by NEA.
2. Final completion report shall be prepared & submitted after site verification by the engineer incharge.
The objective of verification is to check whether the construction meet NEA's standard or not. If some
where it deem correction, then NEA shall ask contractor to modify as required.
