There are two different sides of story regarding Cavite Mutiny. According to
Spanish account Cavite Mutiny was an attempt to overthrow the Spanish government in
the Philippines but this is a biased account that is written to favor the Spanish
government and to cover up their mistake. The true story in Cavite Mutiny was just a
short-lived revolt of Filipino soldier and workers at Cavite arsenal. It is just a protest
against the abolition of privilege, such as exemption to the tax and force labor to the
serious issue because of the involvement of the native clergy named Father Mariano
Gomez, Father Jose Burgos, and Father Jacinto Zamora which at that time desire to
balance the force of stability and order within the church system but this is just an
accusation of the Spanish friar on them which makes them “conspired and supported”
The impact of Cavite Mutiny and the execution of GomBurza in that time are they
starts to open the nationalism mind of the people and this leads to the creation of
Philippine Nationalist movement which aims on the freedom of their own country against
