INSTRUCTOR
I. OBJECTIVES

1. To calculate the peak value and effective value of the current.

2. To measure the phase angle between current and voltage of a resistive circuit.

II. INSTRUMENTS AND COMPONENTS

 Module DL 3155MO7
 Oscilloscope
 Signal Generator
 Cable Set
 R1 = 1kΩ – ¼ W – 5%
 R2 = 10kΩ – ¼ W – 5%

III. PROCEDURE

1. The module DL 3155M07 was inserted in the console and the main switch was turned

ON.

2. The circuit was connected as shown in Figure 2.

3. The Oscilloscope was adjusted with the following settings:

CH1=2mV/DIV

CH2=50mV/DIV

Time/DIV=0.2ms

Coupling=AC

4. The signal generator was supplied and the output was adjusted to sinusoidal voltage of

8V peak to peak -500Hz.

5. The signal displayed in oscilloscope was drawn in Graph 2.1. The input signal represent

with a continuous line and the signal across R2 with a dotted line.

6. Peak to peak input voltage was measured and the value was written in Table 7.1.

7. Peak to peak voltage across R2 was measured and was written in Table 7.1.

8. The peak current was calculated and the value was written in Table 7.1.

9. The effective value of the current was calculated and the value was written in Table 7.1.

10. Current sensibility in mA/DIV was determined and the value was written in Table 7.1.

11. Procedures 6 to 9 for all frequencies was repeated and listed in Table 7.1.
