Slow channel change

Changing TV channels is slower than with analogue TV because it takes your receiver a little time to
decode the digital signal.

Energy bills

Your electricity bill will be a little higher if you need a digital decoder and a

TV.

Long term issues

It is more difficult to tune to distant TV stations. Digital TV signals drop completely below a certain
level, while analog TV signals gradually degrade, making it possible to watch a picture (albeit
sometimes grainy) at a greater distance from the transmitter.

New equipment

Old analog TVs cannot receive digital TV transmissions, so you will need to buy a set-top box or a new
TV to watch digital channels.
