System function
RD9000 decoding delay is configurable via user interface in advanced parameter. The table below indicates
the default value and the optimized value when lower decoding delay is required. The optimized value below
(PFP=2) apply only for SD or HD, for UHD decoding default value must be used.
ViBE CP9000 propose an AVC intra-refresh mode which is not supported in RD9000. This mode will be
available in future RD9000 software release. The end to end delay for this mode will be slightly lower than
the delay in short mode. This intra-refresh mode is not licensed.

Compliance
• BISS-CA scrambing at device level. No mixing BISS-1 (Mode-1/E), BISS-2 (Mode-1/E/CA)
• BISS-CA scrambing at service level in both TS mode (1 MPTS or n SPTS) for a topology with 1 or 2
boards
• in SPTS and MPTS each service associated of each channel could be scrambled in BISS-2 Mode CA
or not individually with a different Session Key
• All components inside a MPEG TS stream are scrambled : Video, Audio, VBI and PCR components.
NB: the SCTE35 is not scrambled.
Note: The number of scrambled components is not limited. The limitation of the scrambling capability
is given by the TS bitrate.
Configuration
• ESID, ECM and EMM PIDs
• CW validity period = 5s to 120s
• Smart EMM bitrate configuration gives to the user the better way to manage the TS bandwith vs the
Total Acquisition time
• Watermark flags
Option
Alarms
• Minor alarm “CSV file bad syntax” when CSV file syntax error on download
• Minor alarm “Scrambling in degraded mode” if the number of Public Key in a CSV file > nb Max of
Public Keys on a CSV file supported
• Major alarm “Scrambling error” on recall a BISS-CA configuration whereas the CSV file to use is not
present on disk
