NMX allows to

• Declare CP9000 in NMX map

• Monitor CP9000 alarms
• Launch the CP9000 SAG from popup menu in the map.
This is the way user configures CP9000 properties
• Cold spare management: each time a configuration
change is done from the SAG, NMX is notified and
saves the new configuration. When NMX reconnects to
the device, it loads the saved configuration. This
enables a very easy replacement of the unit by a cold
spare.

Test configuration:

• ViBE CP9000 version 2.10

• RD9020 with RD9x00-HW-SDI-ASI-4 output card (DTA-2174B)

RD9000 decoding delay is configurable via user interface in advanced parameter. The table below indicates
the default value and the optimized value when lower decoding delay is required. The optimized value below
(PFP=2) apply only for SD or HD, for UHD decoding default value must be used.

ViBE CP9000 propose an AVC intra-refresh mode which is not supported in RD9000. This mode will be
available in future RD9000 software release. The end to end delay for this mode will be slightly lower than
the delay in short mode. This intra-refresh mode is not licensed.

CONDITIONAL ACCESS MODE
• EBU Tech 3292 rev. 3 - BISS2 BASIC INTEROPERABLE SCRAMBLING SYSTEM
• EBU BISS-CA Public key upload file format

Main technical capabilities

• BISS-CA scrambing  at device level. No mixing BISS-1 (Mode-1/E), BISS-2 (Mode-1/E/CA)
• BISS-CA scrambing  at service level  in both TS mode (1 MPTS or n SPTS) for a topology with 1 or 2
boards
• in SPTS and MPTS each service associated of each channel could be scrambled in BISS-2 Mode CA
or not individually with a different Session Key
• All components inside a MPEG TS stream are scrambled : Video, Audio, VBI and PCR components.
NB: the SCTE35 is not scrambled.
Note: The number of scrambled components is not limited. The limitation of the scrambling capability
is given by the TS bitrate.

Configuration

• CSV Public Key upload files

• database up to 256 files and file length name = 64 characters
• up to 3072 Public Key per file

• ESID, ECM and EMM PIDs
• CW validity period = 5s to 120s
• Smart EMM bitrate configuration gives to the user the better way to manage the TS bandwith vs the
Total Acquisition time
• Watermark flags

Option

• One option = CP9X00-LIC-SMPTE-BISS-CA-01
