Extra information:
The formula implemented in order to convert Dominican University Credits (DUC) to ETCS credits was the
following:
[(Hours spent in lecture per week + Hours spent in self-study per week) x Number of weeks in a semester] /
28
Where the hours spent in lectures per week is equivalent to the amount of DUC, and 28 being the hours of
study load per ECTS

It's important to specify that in the dominican university system, bachelor programmes can be implemented
in a trimestral, quarterly or semestral time period depending on the university, where many subjects are often
split in two or more parts.
This calculation was made taking into consideration the trimestral based scheme used by the Instituto
Technologic de Santo Domingo.
