Employ the “Inclusive Workplace Model”.

An inclusive workplace model refers to a workplace where differences and disabilities are welcomed and
valued. It is a place where same opportunities are offered equally to people regardless of their
disabilities, whether it is visible and/or invisible. It is a safe place to venture and disclose themselves.

In an inclusive workplace, higher position officers should treat everyone equally regardless of their
differences. Disabled employees should be criticized the same way nondisabled employees are criticized.
Additionally, this management style allows disabled people to feel their worth and to improve their
capabilities. It increases their self-value and it opens up their future career advancement.

Personalize one-on-one discussions.

In order to understand employees better, the company should consider conducting a one-on-one talk
with their employees. Higher position officers should establish an “open door” policy for employees to
freely speak for themselves. They can discuss anything during these meetings and managers should also
appear humane, in order to make employees feel comfortable and safe.
