A brief statement on why there’s a need to innovate the product/service of the business

Upon studying the feedbacks of Blue Coral Beach Resort we have found common problems such
as problem lack of hygiene of the resort when handling food, uncleaned rooms, stinky smell, and the
lack of a proper venue to dine. As students of the Tourism and Hospitality Management we found this a
huge problem as a place of accommodation, Blue Coral Resort should have proper maintenance and
hygiene.
Most of the complaints were of how dirty and unhygienic the place was. Complaints like dirty or
uncleaned rooms and bathrooms/comfort rooms. Nauseating stinky smell from the pipes. Stray animals,
especially cats are able to roam free around where the food is stationed as food is served on an open
area and in a buffet style. Lastly, how the place is for dining is under the scorching sun. As an
accommodation, Blue Coral Beach Resort should comply to doing basic cleaning and maintenance. Also,
they should have a complete set of the basic facilities needed in accommodating their guests. Failing to
do so does not only disqualify them as an accommodation but also endanger the health of their guests
and staff. This is why we have concluded that there is need for service innovation regarding its facilities
cleanliness and hygiene of the place.
