The research study sought to answer the following problems:

1. Are the guests satisfied with the food and service of Sagnap Spring Inland Resort?
2. What are the guests’ satisfaction towards Sagnap Spring Inland Resort’s food and service?
3. Do Sagnap Spring Inland Resort has a delicious food and good service?
4. What are the lackings of Sagnap Spring Inland Resort that the guests needed?
5. Do Sagnap Spring Inland Resort needs to improve their food and service?

RATIONALE

I propose to study the guests’ satisfaction towards Sagnap Spring Inland Resort. Guests’ satisfaction
refers to a measurement or degree of how foods and services supplied by the resort meet or surpass
guests’ expectation. Guests’ satisfaction is one of the most essential elements of guests’ retention and
loyalty. The art and science of guests’ satisfaction involves strategically focusing on creating and
reinforcing pleasurable experience.

Sagnap Spring Inland Resort was set up in 2005, located at Barangay San Vicente, Pilar, Bohol. It is a
resort where you can swim and enjoy the fresh and cold water. It was closed in 2016 due to lack of
budget and poor management by the former barangay officials. It was reopened in 2019 by a new
manager, but was closed again due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. And now, the municipal mayor allowed it
to open, but they need to follow the safety protocols.

Hence, in order to maintain existing standards and implement new and better system to satisfy
customers, it is crucial to assess guests’ satisfaction and make appropriate changes by the resort if
needed.

Accordingly, this research will intend to assess the current food and service of the Sagnap Spring Inland
Resort and measure guests’ satisfaction level along with identification of major limitations to take
proper actions for future improvement.
