◆ We know that if we are crystal clear with what we want and where we can shine, we will do so much
better in life.

◆ Not everyone can be like Bill Gates (Founder of Microsoft) , and not everyone is the next
Brin and Page (Founders of Google).
◆ Sometimes, we try hard and our work extremely hard, but if our destiny is not there, no
matter how hard we try, it seems impossible to achieve the result we want.
◆ We have to understand ourselves and know our strengths.
◆ If we are a fish and we enter into a competition to climb a tree, there is no way we can win,
and this is exactly what is happening to most people out there.

◆ We get into the wrong career and we thought that it is what we want, because we see other
people are very successful there.
◆ So we follow the footsteps of other people instead of following our own path.

◆ We try hard in the beginning, but eventually, we find it too difficult to produce the amazing
result we desire.
◆ In the end, we will throw in the towel and we quit. we give up on their dreams and we give
all kinds of excuses.

◆ we all know that it is important to plan our lives, to discover ourselves, and to do work that
truly matters to us.
◆ Sadly, most people never spend even a minute thinking about their future. They never really
put in serious thoughts to think about what they really want out of their lives.
◆ Most people spend more time on Netflix and YouTube than planning their future.
◆ No wonder most people are living in common and are going nowhere.
◆ Most importantly, we will discover ourselves and get to understand
ourselves better…

➢ To discover our true self is the most important skill we can possess. When we know who we
are, we know what we need to do instead of looking for permission from others. It allows us
to bypass tons of frustration caused by putting time into the wrong things. Once we know
ourselves, we will become more confident, we will understand our purpose, and we will begin
making a bigger impact on the world.
◆ Here are the six steps we need to take in order to know our true self:

Step1: Be quiet.
Step2: Realize who we truly are, not who
we want to be.
Step3: Find what we are good at (and
not good at).
Step4: Find what we are passionate about.
Step5: Ask for feedback.
Step6: Assess our relationships.

Step1: Be quiet.
➢ You cannot and will not be able to discover yourself until you take the time to be still.
◆ Many people don’t know themselves because any sort
of silence scares them; it’s too uncomfortable to be
alone with every flaw staring back at them.
◆ But it isn’t until we get alone, evaluate ourselves and
are completely truthful with ourselves that we will
actually be able to see every facet of our life—the
good and the bad.
◆ Be quiet and discover our true self.

Step2: Realize who we truly are, not who we want to be.

➢ We know we already have a set idea of who we desperately want to be, but it might
not be who we were designed to be. When we know who we are, we will finally see
where we and our specific gifts fit into the bigger picture.
◆ Although there are many points along our journey to
help us discover yourself, the best way to begin is to
take a personality test and the Strengths Finder test.
(If it’s been five or more years since you’ve completed
either of these, take them again.)
◆ These self-evaluations aren’t perfect, but they do
pinpoint our top areas of strengths, so we can focus on
the change we were meant to bring into the world.

Step3: Find what we are ( good at: Strength) and (not good at: Weakness).

➢ This might be the most difficult step in discovering who we truly are, but it’s a
necessary one. Sure, it takes trial and error to find what we’re good at, and no, Never
give up before we’ve had more than enough attempts, but knowing when to quit is a
gift that everyone needs to learn.
◆ Quit when we’ve put in ample time and our efforts
aren’t giving back. What is ample time? Only we can
decide that. But when we quit correctly, it isn’t giving
up, it’s making room for something better.
◆ When our actions do nothing but drain us—rather than
produce more passion and increase our drive to do
more—that’s a good sign it is time to focus elsewhere.

➢ Step4: Find what we are passionate about.

➢ Following passion of any kind is a good thing, and you need to pay attention when it
comes because it shows an area of life that you need to pay more attention to. If
we’re talking about following your passion in work, it’s a good thing.
◆ if we’re talking about having more passion for life, it’s
a good thing.
◆ Focus more on passion; understand ourselves in better
ways, and we’ll make a bigger impact.
◆ Passion produces effort and continuous effort produces
results, which produces a deeper discovery of our true
self.

➢ Step5: Ask for feedback.

➢ If we don’t know ourselves, hearing what others have to say about us is a helpful
practice. Ask them two simple questions: “What strengths do we think we need to
develop further?” and “What weaknesses do we think we need to work on?”
◆ ” Of course, their opinion isn’t going to be perfect, but
their feedback will probably indicate a few areas we
should at least take a second look at.
◆ This step is especially important for those who are
stuck in finding themselves.
◆ Sometimes those closest to us can see something we
might not be able to see in ourselves.

➢ Step6: Assess our relationships.

➢ A large aspect of discovering ourselves can be found in our relationships. When we


realize we’ll never truly know anyone else until we discover yourself, the importance
of knowing ourselves becomes even more apparent.
➢ This truth especially rings true for business leaders, because if we don’t know the
people on our team, then we will be lost as a leader.
➢ But this rule also applies to any relationship in our life. Almost as much as we need
to know ourselves, other people also need to know who we are. People need us—the
real us.
◆ Use our reflections to fight our biggest fears, because
when we understand who we are, our purpose will
finally become bigger than our fears.
◆ When you realize who we are, we will spend less time
spinning our energy, and you will find more peace,
and you will find success quicker than ever before.

➢ Definition of self-analysis
It is a systematic attempt by an individual to understand his or her own personality without
the aid of another person
◆ We are always growing and changing based upon our personality and life experiences.
Therefore, it’s important to periodically take time out to conduct a self-analysis.
◆ Self-analyses help us to reflect on where we are in various aspects of our life. Armed
with this information, you are better prepared to make necessary adjustments as we
move forward in life.
◆ There are typical five methos for self analysis as follows:*
1) Reflect on your childhood experiences.
2) Pay attention your value you are looking for.
3) Evaluate your surroundings.
4) Reflect on your personal problems and social dynamics.
5) Track your sleeping.
6) Consider how you can work on decreasing your stress level in these areas.

1) Reflect on your childhood experiences.
◆ Change can be good, like getting married, having a child, or getting a promotion at
work.
◆ It can also be not so good; just ask anyone who has lost a job or is in the middle of a
divorce proceeding.
◆ Keep in mind that change of any kind can be stressful as you get adjusted to your new
life experience.
◆ Take a minute to think about and jot down all of the changes that you may have
experienced in the last six months that may be causing stress.

2) Pay attention your value you are looking for.
◆ When the way that you are living your life contradicts with what you believe and value,
this can cause you to experience a significant amount of stress.
◆ For example, if you highly value ambition and competitiveness but feel stuck in a boring
dead-end job, you will likely experience stress because your values aren't lined up with
your life right now.
◆ When your beliefs and value systems are mismatched to your actual life experience,
stress and unhappiness can occur.
◆ Here are some questions to ask yourself to determine if any mismatch is contributing to
your stress levels:
(1) What values do you find very important? Kindness?
Honesty? Success? Family time?
(2) Do your job, relationships, friendships, or other areas
of your life conflict with these values?

3) Evaluate your surroundings.
◆ Where you live, work, and spend most of your time can be a significant factor regarding
your stress level.
◆ If you are surrounded by crime, overcrowding, noise, pollution, litter, or other
unpleasant elements in your surroundings, then it can result in increased stress.
◆ Consider how much your surroundings is contributing to your stress.

4) Reflect on your personal problems and social dynamics.
◆ Personal problems and social factors can have a huge influence on your level of stress.
◆ Here are some social dynamics to consider when you are trying to evaluate how these
aspects are affecting your level of stress:
 Finances: Do you have enough money to cover your basic needs such as housing,
food, clothing, and transportation?
 Family: Are their issues with your spouse or children or are you a caregiver to an
elderly family member?
 Health: How is your health and the health of your loved ones?

5) Track your sleeping.
◆ Lack of sleep affects many areas of your life, which of course can increase your stress
levels.
◆ Log how many hours you are sleeping each night. Although the amount of sleep that is
needed varies per person, if you are an adult getting less than 6-8 hours of sleep per
night, then other areas of your life are likely being impacted.
◆ As a result, your stress levels may be higher than they would otherwise be. Here are
some of the areas that lack of sleep may impact:
 Health challenges, including elevated risk of diabetes and increased risk of death
 Accidents increase
 Thinking and learning slows down
 Increased depression and forgetfulness
 Lower libido
 Premature aging and weight gain
 Impaired judgment

6) Consider how you can work on decreasing your stress level.
◆ Make a list of things that you can do to improve your overall life experience.
◆ The goal of a self-analysis is to do use self-reflection to promote growth.
