INSTRUCTIONS
This worksheet will only work properly if opened in Microsoft Excel. Use this sheet to judge a Poetry Out Loud competition.
The second tab in this Excel worksheet is the "Scoring Rubric Reference." Refer to this at any time while you are judging to hel

The third, fourth, and fifth tabs are where you will input all your scores for each student in each round of competition.
Depending on the level of competition, you will be judging between 1-3 rounds of recitations.
Judges should read each poem that will be recited in competition. A poem URL leading to the Poetry Out Loud website is next
After reading the poem, watch the student recitation video.
Enter your scores for each student in the five scoring columns. Be sure you are entering your scores in the correct row.
Note that you can only enter valid numbers in the scoring columns (no half scores, zeroes, etc).
Continue reading the poems, watching the recitation videos, and scoring the students until you are finished.
