EXPLANATORY NOTE
A tourist attraction is a place of interest that tourists visit, typically for its inherent or
demonstrated natural or cultural value, historical significance, natural or built beauty, or to provide
leisure and entertainment. There are several benefits of tourism on host destinations. Tourism
boosts the revenue of the economy, creates thousands of jobs, develops the infrastructures of a
country, and plants a sense of cultural exchange between foreigners and citizens. Attractions are
an important part of tourism. They are frequently referred to as "tourist attractions" because they
attract tourists. Tourist attractions can help a city or nation's economy grow and have a direct
impact on the promotion of that region. A tourist attraction, according to Wanhill (2008), is a
collection of tangible or intangible values associated with a country. The unique values of that
country or city also contribute to the country's tourist appeal.
Lobo is a rural area, and we all know that tourism benefits rural areas. "Rural tourism" has
grown in popularity as city dwellers seek out more natural environments. They seek out one-of-a-
kind experiences such as staying on a farm, going on day-long hikes with guides, rock climbing,
and other activities. These visits provide employment for people living in rural areas and
demonstrate to authorities that these areas are worth preserving and investing in. It also provides
opportunities for tourists to learn more about a region in its natural state and connect with the
people who live there.
Lobo is a third-class municipality in province of Batangas. It has a variety of attractions
and activities for tourists and adventurers. Thus, the purpose of this ordinance it to promote Lovers
Lane in Barangay Malabrigo, Lobo, Batangas as Tourist spot in the said Municipality because it
can help for the progress and development of the Municipality in terms of Tourism.
