1. What is an engine?

Answer:

The engine is a machine converted from fuel energy to mechanical energy, creating traffic in the
process. Engines - like those used to drive vehicles - can cause different fuels, especially the car
of gasoline and diesel. However, there are types of alternative fuels such as biofuels and natural
gas. In thermodynamic terminals, motors are generally called thermal engines that produce
macropic heat movements. The heat in this case is derived from the combustion of fuel in the
engine that moves the pistons.

2. Describe the reversible and irreversible processes with example?

Answer:

The reversible process is the ideal process which never occurs. For example, melting of ice,
expansion, or compression of spring., while the irreversible process is the natural process that is
commonly found in nature. When we tear a page from our notebooks, we cannot change this
and 'un-tear'. This is an irreversible process. For example, burning of fuel, etc.

3. What is the difference between heat and temperature?

Answer:

Heat and temperature are not the same thing. Mind blown, right? Actually, heat is a form of
energy, while temperature is how hot or cold something is.

Furthermore, heat is a measure of change, never a property possessed by an object or system.

Therefore, it is classified as a process variable. Temperature describes the average kinetic energy
of molecules within a material.

4. Explain First Law of Thermodynamics.

Answer:

The first law of thermodynamics states that heat is a form of energy, and thermodynamic
processes are therefore subject to the principle of conservation of energy. This means that heat
energy cannot be created or destroyed, according to Britannica. It can, however, be transferred
from one location to another and converted to and from other forms of energy.

5. What is the difference between an ideal and real gas?

Answer:

Real gas and Ideal gas. As the particle size of an ideal gas is extremely small and the mass is
almost zero and no volume Ideal gas is also considered as a point mass.
