Religion: The children continued to learn about the

season of Lent. We read and discussed how God’s
Spelling words
showed His love for us by sending his only Son to the
world. After traveling and teaching people about His 1. by 6. try
Father, Jesus died to save us from our sins. We are also
learning about the different parts of the Mass while 2. dry 7. light
listening to our Catholic Sprouts podcast.

Reading: This week we began a new module. The 4. my 9. pie
children chose their reading story for homework on
Monday. They did a wonderful job on their story maps 5. sky 10. tie
and enjoyed sharing them. We worked on the long
sound of o spelled with oa and ow. The children loved
reading the story Interrupting Chicken.

Math: We finished up the chapter with the chapter
test at the beginning of the week. In the next chapter 4. girl 8. warm
we will be working on adding and subtracting within 20.
We will also be identifying different strategies to help
solve the problems.

Social Studies/Science: The children have greatly REMINDERS

enjoyed the postcard project. We have learned so much
about our country through the postcards. We are very March 10th – No School
close to our goal of getting a postcard from all 50 March 13-17 - Spring Break,
states. Thank you for contacting friends and family to No School
send postcards. We only have 4 to go! We still need March 24th – End of 3rd Quarter
postcards from Ohio, West Virginia, Georgia, and New
Jersey.
