Radio Communication
There are three defined channels during 1AA operations;
Here is an example of how different roles within the group would manage their channels
Call Signs
Squad Lead 1-0
Team Lead 1-1 Team Lead 2-1
Scout 1-2 Designated Marksman 2-2
Rifleman 1-3 Rifleman 2-3
Auto Rifleman 1-4 Auto Rifleman 2-4
Rifleman - Rocker 1-5 Rifleman – Rocker 2-5
Medic 1-6 Combat Lifesaver 2-6
5) Repeat steps three (3) and four (4) until all information is discussed
6) Ending conversation
a. Usual radio etiquette dictates the person originating the conversation finishes it, however,
as with all operational matters, Chain of Command takes precedence
[Originators call sign] [Receiver’s call sign] [Message] out
Bravo 1-0 Zero Alpha, we will hold checkpoint until notified otherwise, out
Joining a Frequency
If a member moves frequencies (to communicate with another team), they’re required to transmit an
introductory message on the new frequency. The member would complete a handshake and then state;
