Combat Medicine
Medical Supplies

 Bandage - Heal wounds. Severe injuries may require multiple bandages


 Epinephrine - Stimulates heartrate.
 Morphine - Suppresses Pain. Also lowers heartrate and blood pressure.
 Saline – Replaces lost blood which helps improve blood pressure.
 Tourniquet – Stops blood loss when used on a wounded limb.
 Splint – Heals fractures and broken bones.

ACE Medical Interactions


 Different actions are available depending on the body part selected whether through the ACE Interact or the
Medical Menu.
 Actions are location specific;
 Bandaging is only available on wounds
 Splints are only available on fractured limbs
 Displacement (Drag and Carry) only on unconscious personnel.

Managing Injuries

1) Wounds and injuries should never be ignored, instead managed as quickly as possible
2) Notify team members when wounded
3) Find cover or a window in combat to check wounds
a. If wounded in a limb, apply a tourniquet, this will prevent blood loss.
b. Head and torso wounds are to be bandaged fully to stop blood loss.
c. If a limb is fractured or broken, apply a splint.
4) When possible, apply bandages to wounds and remove tourniquet(s)
5) Have Combat Medic or Combat Lifesaver review wounds and injuries
6) NEVER self-administer morphine without first consulting a Combat Medic or Combat Lifesaver
