What Paul means

Paul briefly describes some of the many situations he has encountered before concluding, "I can do all
things through Him who strengthens me," saying that he has experienced hunger and abundance, need
and wealth, and has learned to be content no matter what his circumstances.

Paul is not comparing these situations to imply that one is preferable to the other. He is demonstrating
his understanding of the breadth of human experience and the difficulties associated with each position
by employing these extremes. He is neither a wealthy person instructing a poor person to be content
with what they have (or vice versa), neither is he sitting there full of food asking those who are hungry
to stop complaining.

He is arguing that you can develop contentment regardless of your situation. How did he find out?
Considering that he has tested and established it. What is his secret? Verses 13 addresses this.

What Paul does not mean

It is not a blanket statement that God would back everything we set out to achieve and enable us to
perform whatever impossible things we can envision. Many Christians take "all things" as "anything,"
not "all the things Paul has discussed." It is a reassurance that we can carry out God's calling on our lives,
not our own.

My reflection

I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me is a verse in which most of us can relate to.
Without faith and the guidance of Christ, we will lose hope when it comes to solving our adversaries.
With Christ and a simple prayer, all of us can feel that we are being heard and cared. So, I do believe
that may it be good or bad things, through Christ I can do it all. With God, there is no limit to what we
people can do. With His power, wisdom, and will, all the challenges that we may come across in our lives
will be solved because with have God's guidance.

One thing that I also learned throughout my life is that Christ is the one that gave me power to believe
in myself. When you learn to believe in yourself and love yourself, you are capable of many things and
able to accomplish goodness in the world. We are created in God’s image; thus, we can love ourselves,
believe in ourselves, and consequently, be able to love and believe others, just as what God and Christ
gave us, their limitless love and unconditional belief.
Also, I learned in this verse is that all things that will be given to me will be done by me because there is
Christ and God that will help me to deal with it. Through having strong faith and trust in Christ you find
strength to do anything. You are not afraid to face challenges and problems in life. Because through
Christ you know you are guided, and the Lord is there every step of the way. He is your strength to
continue. Example, you are struggling, you have a problem in life. You are confused and you do not
know what to do or you want to take action but you're still having second thoughts and you're afraid
you might make a mistake. Sometimes people pray, they pray for the guidance of the Lord. You are
asking for strength, but you pray to find answers or ask the lord for answers. Then you put that faith in
to strength, you will just trust the Christ and that the problem is a challenge given to you to be stronger.
You know that has a purpose. And you will trust the Lord's plan for you, you will strengthen your heart,
and you will stay strong, and you will force yourself to find a way to solve your problem.
