Hello everyone/Good afternoon, Mrs …. Let me introduce! My full name is
Le Thi Ngoc. I’m 18 years old. My hometown is Nam Dinh city, but now I live in
Ha Noi. I’m in my first year at the Academy of Policy and Development with a
major in the Faculty of Foreign Language. My hobby is reading books because it
helps me relax and gain more knowledge. This’s all information about myself.

Describe a person whom you met for the first time and made you happy.

When I first entered the new environment of university, I thought I would

have no friends because I was quite shy but when I met Linh - my now best friend,
I changed my mind. The first time I met Linh was in the afternoon, that day I was
looking for a class. Linh came close and helped me find the place, I felt that she
was very friendly and kind. Fortunately, we are in the same class, she and I have
many opportunities to talk to each other. We have been learning together, helping
each other to improve and become better. She makes me so happy because being
with her makes me feel understood and that I can do what I like. I feel very lucky
to have met Linh and now we are close friends.

Describe your favorite foreign food.

As we know, it is difficult to choose the food which we like the most. And
pizza is my favorite food I cannot imagine my life without it. It has been seen for
the first time in the 10th century, in central Italy. It’s made with different toppings.
Some of the most common toppings are cheese, sausages, pepperoni, vegetables,
tomatoes, spices, and onion. Then, the pizza is baked at just the right temperature,
its color is very eye-catching and I feel delicious even just by looking at its
appearance. I tried to make it myself, but I found it really hard. When I see my
favorite pizza in front of me, I feel so hungry. I think I have a unique and different
relationship with pizza. That’s why pizza is my favorite dish.

One of the greatest inventions of our time is the internet. It has

revolutionized the way people communicate and access information. The internet
has enabled people to stay connected with friends and family around the world, no
matter where they are located. People can access the latest news and research from
around the globe, advancing their knowledge and understanding of the world. For
children, the Internet is so amazing! Learning on the internet is really superior to
learning in the classroom. Children can log on to many websites and be taught
about any topic they may be learning. As adults grow older, there is a tendency for
them to be separated from friends and family. Using social networking sites and
emails is a good way to stay in touch easily. Moreover, speaking to family and
friends face to face via a computer with a camera and Internet access has far
greater value to people who are separated by long distances. Thank to the Internet,
our life becomes easier and more convenient.

Describe an advertisement that persuaded you to buy a product.

Advertising is an important part of modern society. We can see advertising

anywhere such as on TV, the internet, or in newspapers. I have been influenced by
many ads but one of the most memorable was one for a brand of headphones, I saw
it while I was surfing the web. The ad has eye-catching images, with bright colors
and catchy background music. It features a bunch of people wearing headphones
and listening to music with happy expressions vivid on their faces. What impressed
me the most was that regardless of age, these individuals felt happy and satisfied
with their music. So I decided to buy that headset to experience. In my opinion,
advertising is very useful, it saves me time, and offers the right products for me.
That's exactly how advertising persuaded me to buy the product.

Describe a time you took a risk.

Taking risks is something I'm passionate about, and I've taken risks many
times throughout my life. My most recent mishap was the decision to buy the new
phone I saw in the ad. Despite the fact that it seems to be more expensive than
other phones, I still decided to choose it because of the features and potential
benefits it can bring to me. Talking about that risk was one of the hardest things
I’ve ever done, but it also had some of the most positive results. I'm very glad
because I can now stay connected with my friends and family and take great
pictures with this phone. Also, I can study and relax on the apps that the phone
brings. I’m really grateful for the experience, it also taught me that sometimes,
taking a risk is the only way to get what you truly want.

Mobile phones have been an integral part of our lives for many years now,
and it is hard to imagine how people managed without them in the past. Mobile
phones are incredibly versatile, allowing people to communicate with each other,
access the internet, take photos and videos and even watch movies. They are small
and lightweight, making them convenient to carry around wherever you go.
Furthermore, mobile phones come with a variety of features including GPS, voice
recognition, and HD cameras. It can be connected to a wide range of accessories,
including headphones, Bluetooth devices, and power banks. For me, the phone is
very useful, it helps me study and relax in times of stress or boredom. This is a
great invention that makes our lives easier.
