SPT Guidelines

Spot check is the process of quick editing, i.e. 2000 words per hour.

 Please check if there is no untranslated text and machine translation left.

 Assure terminology consistency in the text and headers, including locked segments and 100%
matches (search term-by-term using Ctrl+F function).
 Check if all numbers correspond to the source document.
 Follow reference material provided (translation memory, term base, glossaries, project instructions,
checklists, client specific instructions).
 If marked-up pdf was provided, please make sure it was followed.
 Run QA checks and correct the translation accordingly.
 Preferential changes are not welcome during SPT.

In case you notice that the quality is poor and full editing is needed, please inform PM about it.
