RESUME AND APPLICATION LETTER

A.
How does a resume differ from an application letter?
Answer: A resume is factual and brief. Think of it as list of your professional skills and
experience. A cover letter, on the other hand is more detailed. It let you tell employers
you’re the best person for the job.
Answer: A cover letter allows a potential employer to be introduced to you and your
resume. It is the first document an employer sees, therefore serving as your first
impression and also allows the employer to get a more comprehensive look at who you
are and why you are qualified for the job.
Answer: It is important to come up with your career planning as it gives you the much
needed direction and makes it clear there where you see yourself in future. It makes you
aware of your strength and weaknesses and the skills and knowledge that are required to
achieve your goals in future.

PART II.
QUESTION What is your greatest accomplishment?
S I think my greatest accomplishment was during my last job as
(SITUATION) an HR administrator.
T The hiring department had difficulty locating specific files
(TASK) and managing document. So I thought there was room for
improvement with employee file management. I want to
increase productivity and efficiency, and save time spent on
looking for document.
A I decided to take initiative and implement new HR document
(ACTION) management. In the end, our timesheets indicated that the
time spent looking for files and document had been reduced
and increase 5 to 10 hours.
R Each could instantly access the files they needed in one HR
(RESULT) filing system and increase their overall productivity.
