A Teacher’s Prayer

Father, please fill me with your understanding as I instruct others,

Help me to see the individual potential of every student I teach.

Father, please fill me with your patience as I teach others,

Help me to keep giving of my time and energy,

especially to those who struggle the most.

Father, please give me your divine wisdom as I am with my class,

Show me when I must discipline and when I can show mercy.

Father, help me to depend totally on You,

For You are the source of my strength, courage and peace.

Father, above all, may I love and care for each student I teach.

Show me how to serve as Christ serves Give as Christ gives Love as Christ loves.

I ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, My Saviour and friend. Amen

Introduction
Introduction

There are many professions which man has adopted according to his knowledge and

ability. A person can adopt any profession depends upon his aptitudes and capability. All

profession is important for human development but teaching is the profession which can

lead people to its stairways of success.

The student teaching experience is designed to give the student a full time internship

under the supervision of a cooperating teacher. The Education Department Requires that

the student’s total scholastic effort be devoted to the student Teaching experiences. There

would be no other college course responsibilities during this time period.

Practice teaching is an important component of becoming a teacher. It grants student

teachers experience in the actual teaching and learning environment. Student teachers are

exposed when they work in classrooms and schools where they are assigned. Teaching is

a passion. It is also an integral component of teacher training. You need to love what you

are doing. Good teaching practice is a key influence on student learning a desired

outcome and primary goal of higher educational institutions. Practice teaching is very

challenging but it is an important part of training as a future teacher in developing and

molding ones abilities and skills.

The School
History of the School

The name “San Isidro” came from as own patron saint “St. Isidore”. But it is popularly
known as Almendras. A while ago, there were many Almendras trees that fully grown in
this barangay. That’s why it called as such. The school itself is Almenndras Elementary
School. Its neighboring barangays are San Bartolome and Kabayung Sarul Malati, a part
of Magalang, Pampanga. The major dialect spoken is 100% Kapampangan.

San Isisdro is situated to south direction of Concepcion. It is approximately 7 km. away

from the town proper of Concepcion which is equivalent to 30 minutes of travel y
tricycle.

San Isidro has three sitios namely: Apunan, Biabas, and Bernarte. The main barangay
which is Almendras is divided into four purok; My Sharona, Centro, Butarol, and
Guyabano.

Looking Back and Beyond
Why Did I choose to Become a Teacher?

The Most Unforgettable Experience at the College of Education

My Philosophy in Teaching

My philosophy in Teaching is that all children are unique and must have a

stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally,

emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students

can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited

to share their ideas and take risks.

“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has

learned in school.” —Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein through his quote is giving an important life message. While

in school we learn two type of things. First is facts and second is moral

values. Later in life, we all would forget those factual teachings, but still

those moral values would reside in us.

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and

you feed him for a lifetime.” —Maimonides

It’s not just about giving students all the answers. A superior teacher will

help each child in their classroom cultivate a lifelong desire to learn and

build the skills to find their own answers out in the world.
