Planetary gear mechanism :
The planetary gear mechanism
is sun gear A, planet gear B,
gear ring C and planet D.
The planet gear is supported
by a planetary framework,
with the sun gear and ring

Planetary wheel mechanism
When fixing the gear ring:
The power of the sun gear is transferred to the
planet gear. The pinion gear meshes with gear
ring, and because gear ring are fixed, the planet
gear rotates along with gear ring. Meanwhile, the
power transmitted by the sun gear is output
through the planet frame, which rotates in the
same direction as the sun gear.

When fixed planet frame :


The power of the sun wheel is transmitted to
the planet gear .As the planet frame is fixed, the
planet gear that mesh with the sun gear rotate
in place. The gear ring which meshes with the
planet gear, turns in the opposite direction to
the sun gear ,so that the power is transmitted to
the gear ring.

Dual planet gear mechanism

Change the direction of rotation:


A second planet pinion is inserted between the
pinion and the gear ring to turn the sun gear.

When the gear ring is fixed, the planet gear


cannot rotate, so the planet gear will revolve
along the gear ring.

At this time, the power of the sun's wheel is


transmitted to the planet frame which rotates
in the opposite direction to the sun gear due
to a pair of engaging planet gear.
