Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers conduct a qualitative survey research that requires this study to provide opinions,
experiences, narratives or accounts. Therefore, researchers are to conduct a One-on-One Interview with
the students of Integrated School who are forced to choose a strand they did not like.

The researchers proposed an interview guide that consists of four interview questions that are based on
the statement of the problem and research questions. The researchers will then propose a letter of approval
to the subject teacher, IS-SHS Vice Principal, and the IS-SHS Principal. After taking face-to-face classes
and receiving permission, the researchers will eventually conduct One-on-One Interviews with each
participant who meets their stated criteria. It is where researchers will select six participants for their
interview and ask them, either in person or via private message, if they are willing to take part in the study
being carried out by the researchers from Group 1.

The group's researchers will begin by presenting to the participants the focus of the study. Researchers
will be providing participants with reassurance regarding the confidentiality of the information collected
from them. The participant will next be asked if they consent to the researchers using a voice recorder to
capture their response; if not, the researchers will write down their response on a paper. Then, researchers
will now ask the participants the authorized set of interview questions and will therefore be followed by a
few follow-up questions to gather any additional information required for the study. After the actual
interview, researchers will reassure the participants once again of the anonymity and let them know they
would be informed of the study's findings following the process of conducting it. Thus, the researchers
from Group 1 will analyze and evaluate each respondent's response after all participants have completed
their surveys.
