destination. (6marks)

Political will- Political stability and safety are prerequisites for tourism; even the mere threat
of events such as civil unrest and terrorism can cause tourists to rethink their decision to visit
a destination. The impact of political instability on a destination's tourism sector is both
immediate and potentially long-lasting.
Economic priority over social and environmental concerns. This barrier is related strongly to
political governance’s short term focus and many other barriers arise out of this. A focus on
short term objectives creates a negative feedback loop with economic priority because with
short political terms attention is focused on job creation and development for growth that
should yield immediate results instead of an equal priority with environmental and social
concerns.

accommodation over period of time per tourist, any decrease in these numbers is an
indication for improvements in sustainable tourism.

employment, etc.), business finance, shareholder’s management and all the aspects of
operation.

strategy, this opportunity can turn in threat. We must be careful while involving
community to avoid inequality in our decision.

Ensuring long equal income distribution A large number of sustainable activities takes

area and so on. And as sustainable tourism involves local community, proper
distribution of income is very important. As often it happens elite groups of people
from community are usually the beneficiary, so fair distribution of income is crucial
