Subject 10.08 Approval of a Tentative Hoboken Public School District Budget for the
2023-2024 Fiscal Year
Recommended Action WHEREAS, the Superintendent and Business Administrator recommend to the members of
the Hoboken Board of Education a Local Tax Levy of $61,966,437 to support the 2023-
2024 General Fund Budget in the amount of $75,123,815; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby adopts the
Hoboken Board of Education School Budget, Fiscal Year 2023-2024, attached hereto as a
tentative budget for the purpose of submitting said budget to the Office of the Hudson
County Superintendent of Schools as required by law and code, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the board of education hereby directs the Board Secretary
/ School Business Administrator to cause said budget to be advertised in the newspapers
and made available on the school district website as required, and

Subject 10.12 Approval of Revised List of Employees and Salaries Attached to Fund 20 for
FY2023
Recommended Action WHEREAS, the federal government requirements through administrative codes as outlined
in CFR and the related administrative regulations of the United States Department of
Education (USDOE) and the state government requirements through administrative codes
as outlined in N.J.A.C. 6A and the related administrative regulations of the New Jersey
Department of Education (NJDOE) stipulate that each local educational agency receiving
federal and state grants must approve by resolution of the governing body the names and
salary amounts of personnel assigned to said grants for each fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, the Hoboken Board of Education receives federal and state grants as reflected
in Fund 20, Special Revenues of its annual operating budget for the 2022/23 fiscal year,
and
WHEREAS, the respective grant applications submitted and the grant notifications accepted
are detailed in school district records,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education hereby approves
the attached list of individuals assigned to personnel positions of approved state and
federal grants for the 2022/23 fiscal year in the salary amounts listed for the budget
accounts indicated and the grants described, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be made available to any federal and/or
state agency requiring a copy of the same for verification required by its’ auditors and/or
staff members, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to approve the positions and staff salaries in the chart below to
be paid with Federal/State grant funds, and

Please be aware that JFK Stadium, like all other Board of Education Facilities, is a Smoke-Free location.
Additionally, the following activities or items are NOT allowed on the JFK Stadium field:
Animals (except to assist persons of disability)
Bicycles
Chairs or benches (must only be placed on concrete)
Food or drink on the field surface (water only)
Alcoholic beverages
Glass containers
Sunflower seeds or other shelled nuts and gum
Tobacco products
Fireworks or any open flame
Golfing, shot putting, javelin or discus throwing
Unauthorized use of model planes or rockets
Metal cleats and spikes (only formed rubber cleats are allowed)
High heeled shoes
Painting, chalking, tape or other adhesive material without prior approval
Formal practice without prior field reservation
Stakes, spikes or other pointed objects, such as tent stakes, corner flags, and poles that may penetrate or
damage the turf
Portable heater and/or any open flame
Any golfing or throwing activities such as hammer, shot, discus or javelin
Suntan lotions, oils or creams of any kind - Please apply sunblock prior to entering the turf area
Failure to comply with these rules will result in users being asked to leave and / or immediate cancellation of
reservation.
