Work from Home Guidelines

To ensure that our employees and managers have the support they need for working remotely, we’ve
created Remote Work Guidelines. :

1. During the WFH we recommend employees to set up an arrangement at home where they can
have :
a. A dedicated space where they can work without any distraction
b. Proper seating set up
c. Internet support on their systems
d. Phone
e. Communicate expectations to anyone who will be at home with you so that your family
members are conscious that you are working.

2. We are a nine hour working organization and the expectation is that everyone will work for the
same number of hours in work from home.
3. This is temporary, so please do not go to your hometowns but stay in the city of your work. We
don’t expect or hope for this to last beyond a few days.
4. For Business exigencies, employees working from home might also be required to attend office at
short notice. Hence, please be available to do the same.
5. Structure your day like you would do in office. Plan what you will be working for over the day and
use your calendar to set the schedule.
6. Use technology like video conferencing, Microsoft teams and instant messaging to stay
connected to other members of the team.
7. Leaders and employees need to make sure that the daily planning and deliverables are
discussed and agreed and monitored on an ongoing basis.

8. Employee Responsibilities
a. Employees should treat every day like a regular working day and make sure that they are
dressed appropriately and are at their work stations on time.
b. Set a schedule for the day and stick to it.
c. If you are unwell or have some personal work please apply for leave like you would on a
regular working day.
d. Over communicate: If you go on lunch or anything such, please alert your supervisor.
e. Utilize the travel time saved effectively and aim for higher productivity than usual.
f. While working from home, it’s a good practice to log out of social media accounts to avoid
distractions.

9. Manager responsibilities:
a. Monitor the WFH arrangements to ensure that agreed work outcomes are consistently
being delivered;
b. Plan ahead, make sure you and your team have weekly and daily work plans in place.
c. Document more than normal. Keep minutes of all virtual meetings, along with
responsibilities and circulate to all stake holders,
d. Build processes for regular check ins:
i. Team check-in 2 times a day –first thing in the morning and end of day.
ii. Managers should use video calls to connect with the teams through the day
( just– like you would have walked up to a person, you should video call the
person (rather than audio call as video call is more personal)
