TRIAL MIX FOR 300MM DIAMETER MICROPILE GROUT G35 GROUT MIX

The proportions of grout and the minimum strength of work cubes shall comply with the
following requirements:

GROUT MIX

Range of water/cement ratio 0.45

Cement 100 kg (2 bags)
Water 45 kg (liter)
Sika- intraplast –Z 1 kg (1% weight of cement)
Target Resistance to crushing 35 kN/mm.sq

The quantities of cement in the mix shall be measured by weight. The grout shall be free from
segregation, slumping and bleeding. Grout shall be mixed on site and shall be pumped into its
final position as soon as possible. Non-shrink admixture (SIKA Intraplast-Z ) shall be added at
approximately 1% by weight.

Example

G35 with
Water: cement ratio = 0.45
Cement =23 bags*50 = 1150kg
Water = 0.45*1150 = 517.5kg
Sika- Intraplast-z = 0.01*1150 = 11.5kg
Total Weight = 1155+517.5+11.5 = 1679kg
Volume = 1679kg/1700kg/cu.m
= 0.99 cu.m
