Answer:
1. Flow objects - Graphical items called "flow objects" can connect to or come from a
sequence flow. Events, activities, and gateways are examples of flow objects in a
process. These specify how business processes behave.
2. Data - These are employed to specify data that has no bearing on how the operation
moves forward. These components can be utilized for readability, analysis, or the
execution of business processes even when they cannot be executed. Data objects
are groups of one or more data points that together convey meaning.
3. Connecting objects - Directional arrows are used to connect flow objects and show
the succession. There are different categories of connecting objects, including Data
Associations, Associations, Message Flows, and Sequence Flows. The order of things
with only one source and one destination is represented by a solid line called the
sequence flow. A dashed line called Message Flow shows how messages move
between parties. To connect objects and items, association serves as a dotted line.
An arrowhead is present in data associations to denote the association's flow
direction.
4. Swimlanes - Participants in a business process are represented by these rectangle-
shaped boxes. They serve as a barrier separating one group of activities from others.
A pool and a lane are the two different sorts of swimlanes. Participants in a business
process are represented by pools. It could be a particular thing (like a department)
or a job (e.g. assistant manager, doctor, vendor). There are components of flow
inside a pool. They stand in for the tasks that the pool must complete in order to
follow the procedure being depicted. To illustrate internal divisions inside a pool, a
lane is a box that is partitioned.
