• (Source: Britannica)
• What are the advantages and disadvantages of such an action?
• Give examples from your personal experience to support your views.
• Task Code: SPA 056

Your presentation must:

• Include an argument in favor and an argument against
• Include a personal reflection
• Be between 3 – 5 minutes long.
“Lately, some governments have been discussing lowering the voting age to 16”.

• Now, I begin my presentation

• It has been recently discussed a lot in the media and academia that the
voting age may be decreased from existing eighteen to sixteen. When this
debate increased, then the discussion started taking place at the
government level as level. The original question of increasing age limit
basically started from the USA. Therefore, American government is
considering raising the age limit.
• This is not small thing to discuss and the decision needs to be taken
considering various facts. It is also true that decreasing voting age to 16
may be taken in certain parts of the world and it might not be taken
globally.
• There are supporters and opponents of this government move with their
own arguments as advantages and disadvantages, which I discuss further.
What are the advantages of such an action?

• I believe that there are numerous advantages of allowing the voting age
limit decreased to 16. I discuss these advantages number wise.
• 1. Firstly, voting will become a habit: If young people of 16 years old starting voting,
then it will be a habit and they’ll continue voting for their whole life.
• 2. Young people of 16- and 17-years old age fully ready to vote as their sense of civic
education and social responsibilities has greatly increased due to civic education and
due to availability of the technological tools like Social Media, etc.
• 3. Young people of 16- and 17-years old age will be considered by the politicians and
society as the equal members of the society when they have voting right.
• 4. Moreover, civic education, importance of communities and civic engagement will
greatly increase among young children if the age to vote is decreased to 16 years.

These are the advantages of such an action.

What are the disadvantages of such an action?

• Now, coming to the flip side. There are in fact limited disadvantages
as some people show the caution.
• Few people believe that reducing age limit will not dramatically
impact and change young people, therefore, they oppose lowering
the age limit to 16 for votig.
• Others express concerns and anxiety because they believe that
people of young age are not ready for voting rights due to their lack
of interest in civic responsibilities.
Conclusion

• Now, I conclude that government is planning to lower the voting age

limit to 16, and people think that there are both the advantages and
disadvantages. I personally believe that government should take this
step as it is very vital for young children of 16 years old.
• With this note, I now finish my presentation and Thank you so much
for listening to me.

your essay written by someone else.

"Bonus schemes (such as free mobile data and discounted clothes) have been created to encourage young
people to get the COVID-19 vaccine" (Source: Kathimerini).
In your opinion, what are the advantages of young people getting vaccinated?

 Write an essay between 250-350 words.

introduction
• Authorities and businesses are providing positive reinforcement to
get more youngsters vaccinated. Getting adequate vaccination is
exceptionally beneficial for the individuals as well as the society. This
essay would contemplate upon the advantages of vaccination
Body para 1
• There are countless benefits of vaccination for the individuals
themselves. First, their immune system gets a significant boost, as it is
better equipped to identify and eliminate the harmful invading
viruses. For instance, the death ratio of non-vaccinated Covid-19
patients was ten times higher than the vaccinated ones. This data
proves that getting properly vaccinated is a matter of life and death.
Additionally, many countries require verification of various
vaccination courses in order to issue a visa, therefore, the chances of
a nonvaccinated person to travel are severely restricted. For example,
Iran prevented thousands of religious pilgrims from entering its soil
last year, due to the latter's inability to provide Covid-19 vaccination
certification
Body para 2
• Apart from the individuals, the society at large also profits from the
tendency of youngsters to get vaccine jabs. Primarily, the vaccinated
young man or woman is less likely to carry infectious diseases, hence
narrowing the probability to infect the vulnerable elderly in their
homes. In addition to that, if the majority of the population gets
vaccinated, it creates the phenomenon of herd immunity. Reaching
this critical milestone ensures that even the non-vaccinated populace
would be indirectly protected against the threat. For example, global
vaccination campaigns against polio and whooping cough have all but
made these viruses extinct. In light of the aforementioned reasoning.
it is pertinent for every person to get verified vaccination regardless
of the restrictions of age, gender or religious beliefs
conclusion
• In conclusion getting the proper doses of essential vaccines lengthens
lifespan and enables unrestricted international travel. It also ensures
the protection of vulnerable age groups as well as the extinction of
deadly diseases
 As discussed above;

 , the death ratio of non-vaccinated Covid-19 patients was ten times higher than the
vaccinated ones.
 Iran prevented thousands of religious pilgrims from entering its soil last year, due to the
latter's inability to provide Covid-19 vaccination certification
 global vaccination campaigns against polio and whooping cough have all but made these
