A. Find out the factors influencing the compensation level of fresh management graduates
in a particular industry.
The factors are
1. In-demand skill sets
In this current market situation or otherwise skills sets of a candidate are most important
asset and comes to determining compensation, key skills are reliable metric to compare
against than job role or position. Different companies may have very different definitions
of the same job title and provide different compensation in the same industry.

2. Location

Cost of living is a key factor in determining compensation, is dependent on location and


the cost of housing. This is why wages in urban areas are higher than salaries for similar
positions in rural locations

3. Ability to Pay [Employer]


This is a very important factor in deciding employee salary. For example a well
established company like Hindustan Unilever will pay more to its emplyoees and attract
more talented graduates than a new FMCG start up which is yet to build its reputation in
market.

B. Research whether there is any difference in the components of compensation package


among the freshers passing out from different categories of institution (Level-1, Level-2,
Level-3 etc.).

Yes there is difference in component of compensation package passing out from different
categories of institution

According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework, the average salary in India after MBA
starts from Rs 6 Lakh onwards per annum, depending upon the ranking of the business school (B-
School).

Level 1 –IIM Ahmedabad- Average Salary 55 LPA

Level 2 – TAPMI Manipal - Average Salary 21 LPA

Level 3 -GIM Goa -Average salary -10.5 LPA

So in conclusion a level 1 college will provide Basic and HRA allowance 2.5 time more than level 2
college and 5 times more than level 3 college. The difference between The CTC Package and take
home salary increases as the quality of colleges improves. And the quality of college depend on
faculty , infrastructure , industrial network etc.

C. Is there any difference in the compensation level according to the type of industry?

It depends on the current demand of that particular industry. If the demand of a


industry like FMCG sector is high then there will be more jobs and more salaries than a industry
which is seeing stagnant growth.
Banking---One of the highest paying jobs in India and globally, Investment Banking is about helping
clients invest their money wisely for the best possible returns on investment. If you specialize in
Finance, with a penchant for hosting financial services, Investment Banking is the right career choice
for you.

Pay Scale for Beginners: 10-12 LPA

Consulting Firms--- The average salary of a Management Consultant in India is around ₹11,49,770
LPA. Entry-level consultants earn ₹6-7 LPA while experienced candidates can earn between ₹17-26
LPA

needs and maximize profits. They work across all parallels of the industry, and the job role is growing
by leaps and bounds.

The average salary of a Marketing manager in India is ₹7,01,976 LPA

Business Analyst is one of the most in-demand jobs in India. A business analyst analyses the
processes, systems, and models of operation of an organization to determine its performance. They
can help a business make better decisions and improve its performance.

Business Analyst salary in India ranges between ₹ 3.0 Lakhs to ₹ 16.0 Lakhs. It increases based on
experience, making it one of the best jobs in India.
