In a developing country, the youth in the small village of Barangay Maligalig struggle to find

opportunities for employment and education. The high rate of poverty and the lack of resources and
opportunities have led to increased teen pregnancies, drug abuse, and juvenile crime among young
people. By organizing community events for children and providing programs for vocational training, the
local government has tried to address these issues. To make a lasting change, however, more needs to be
done.

To offer a complete solution for the youth of Barangay Maligalig, a group of concerned locals formed a
nonprofit organization called "A Better Alternative" (ABA). The organization's mission was to provide life
skills instruction, mentorship programs, and educational scholarships for young people. The ABA
organized a fundraiser to pay for these programs and approached nearby companies for sponsorship.
They also worked with the local government to access resources and forge alliances with schools and
community centers. As a result of their efforts, ABA offered over 50 youth scholarships for school,
provided mentorship programs for those who required additional support, and offered life skills training
such as financial literacy, time management, and goal setting.

The youth of Barangay Maligalig benefited greatly from ABA's efforts. Thanks to the educational
scholarships offered by ABA, many students were able to continue their education and realize their
goals. The mentorship program offered by ABA provided support and guidance to those who needed it
most, and the life skills instruction offered by ABA assisted the youth in developing greater self-
assurance and independence. ABA's success took a lot of work to achieve. The organization had to
overcome a lack of resources and conflicting priorities. But they overcame these difficulties and brought
about change by collaborating with nearby businesses, the administration, and locals. The narrative of A
Better Alternative emphasizes the significance of community involvement, perseverance, and
collaboration in developing long-term solutions for young people. We can guarantee a better future for
the following generation by banding together.
