The monitor.exe application is used for:

−Viewing and capturing logs generated by a host
−Viewing and capturing performance data of a host
−Configuring the IP address of a host
−Rebooting a host
−invoking Playertest, Telnet, ClipTool, Windows Explorer

The application is installed in the Manager PC at this location:

Example = d:\omneon\bin\monitor.exe or
D:\Upgrades\omneon.release-4.6_sr2\2006.10.26.V4.6SR2\pcapps

Select a Media Director host

Click on “Receiver” or “Performance Mon” button not
for MediaDeck7000 or Server with Linux OS

When enabled, the word “logging” will

appear.

Use the “Explore Log Directory” to go to the Log directory

The Performance window logs are stored in the SystemManager PC at

the sub directory of where the monitor.exe is run (example):
– D:\Omneon\bin\perfData
– D:\Upgrades\omneon.release-5.2\2008.09.26.09.15-
5.2.0.0\pcapps\perfDataData

The Receiver window logs are stored in the SystemManager PC at the

sub directory of where the monitor.exe is run (example) :
– D:\Omneon\bin\recvData
– D:\Upgrades\omneon.release-5.2\2008.09.26.09.15-
5.2.0.0\pcapps\recvData

The Receiver window logs are also available in the Mediastore at this
generic network location:
\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\fs0\omDyyyyyy\logs

To reboot a host, select a window and click on the

“BOMB” icon

Select a Media Director host

Right Click and select “Set IP Address”
