In two studies conducted among older adults living in residental homes (n = 2 × 20)
gastrointestinal tolerance, palatability and compliance was evaluated. The study
product and dosage was Fresubin 3.2 kcal DRINK 1 x 125 ml/day and Fresubin 3.2 kcal
DRINK 3 x 40 ml/day.6,7 One bottle contains 400 kcal, which is the minimum effective
dose needed to improve patient outcomes.1,10
Based on these studies the new Fresubin 3.2 kcal DRINK demonstrated good
tolerance and palatability resulting in excellent compliance. Fresubin 3.2 kcal
DRINK therefore represents a clinically valuable option for improving effective-
ness of nutritional therapy.
