所以[suǒ yǐ]… 因为……所以…is used to clearly

indicate cause and effect. They could be thought of as equating to:
"Since ___ happened, so ___ happened." It sounds weird to use both
"since" and "so" in one sentence in English, but it makes everything
crystal clear in Chinese. For example: 因为我很累，所以我想休息。
2. 由于[yóu yú] ...因此[yīn cǐ] …： Just like the fixed form of 因为 ... 所以, 因此 is a
fixed form structure with 由于. 由于...因此 is used more in writing than in
speaking. Please note that you can use 所以 with 由于 but you cannot use 因
此 with 因为！

For example:

由于 他 学习 很 努力 ， 因此 / 所以 考试 考 得很 好 。—> Good 
因为 他 学习 很 努力 ， 因此 考试 考 得很 好 。—> wrong
因为 can only be used with 所以！
