2022 TERHADAP PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT HIV

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks white blood cells so that it can cause
damage to the human immune system. Efforts to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS among
adolescents urgently need integrated and comprehensive prevention. One of them is by providing
education about health to adolescents so as to open and add insight to knowledge about HIV / AIDS
disease so that high knowledge is formed that has an impact on HIV / AIDS prevention attitudes and
behaviors. Prevention efforts are still needed for adolescents in various places. One of the ways to
prevent this is to have a good level of knowledge in order to prevent HIV disease. There are still
many teenagers in Jakarta who have less / poor knowledge about HIV and because there are still few
studies carried out, more research is still needed in the city of Central Jakarta. The purpose of this
study isto illustrate the level of knowledge of TARSISIUS 1 High School students in December 2022
about HIV disease prevention. The design of this study uses quantitative descriptive research with a
cross-sectional approach, using a questionnaire in the form of a google form. The sampling used is
stratified sampling with stratified random sampling technique. It was found that based on the age of
15-18 years, the majority of students aged 16 years with a total of 37 (38.1%) students. The majority
of female students with 59 (60.8%) students. Based on grade level, the majority of students attend
grade 11 with 43 (44.3%) students. The majority of students get HIV knowledge from the internet
with 85 (87.6%) students. The majority of students have sufficient knowledge of HIV prevention as
many as 42 (43.3%) students.
