Good afternoon!

As Chairman of the Membership Committee, it is my distinct


honor to introduce to you our eight applicants who shall be formally inducted
into our distinguished roster of PAMA today. They shall be joining the growing
ranks of executives, professionals and entrepreneurs who have since graced
the illustrious lineup of members in our 49-year-old organization.

The first in our list is Mr. DANILO CERENCE, Assistant Vice-President of the
Aboitiz Foundation. Now on his 11th year in Aboitiz, Mr. Danny heads the
Operations and Project Management Team which ensures that CSR projects
are developed, implemented and monitored. Prior to joining Aboitiz, he held
various positions at the Philippine Business for Social Progress and is a
graduate of BS Commerce from the Divine Word University of Tacloban.

Next is Ms. MARIA SIMONETTE FLORENDO, General Manager of HR


Network, a company established in 1999 aimed to provide third-party
recruitment services, such as executive search services, and outsource staffing
services, and recruitment process outsourcing services catering to various
industries, and specializing in Information Technology professionals. Ms.
Monet graduated with a degree in BS Nursing from the Sacred Heart College
and worked as a Group Administrative Supervisor at the Insular Life
Assurance Company Limited, before working in her current company.

Following her is Ms. FE AMELIA GARCIA, Accounting Manager of IPM Realty


and Development Corporation, a company that has been part of many high-
profile real estate developments for over two decades. Ms. Famea graduated
from the five-year Business Administration and Accountancy degree from the
University of the Philippines and worked for IBM Business Services,
Incorporated as a business controls specialist for three years before taking
over the role of Accounting Business Process Review Project Champion at
Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation for eight years.

After her is Mr. MARK ANTHONY POJOL, a CPA, auditor and tax practitioner
who founded M. Pojol Audit and Tax Consultancy Services, a practice that
offers tax preparation, personal tax planning, tax advisory, business
consulting, accounting and outsourcing services. A graduate of BS Accounting
from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Mr. Mark is also the co-
chair of the Professional Development Committee of PICPA Northern Metro
Manila Chapter.
Next is Atty. ERIC RECALDE, a Tax Partner and head of the Tax Department of
ACCRA Law Offices. A graduate of San Beda College, Atty. Eric is a licensed
CPA and ranked 11th in the 1996 CPA Licensure Examinations, and ranked 3 rd
in the 2002 Philippine Bar Examinations. He published no less than four books
on taxation and co-authored two books on the Revised Corporation Code of
the Philippines. Apart from his tax practice, he regularly lectures on various
topics as tax updates, TRAIN law, the Philippine Competition Act, estate
planning, among many others. He is currently the Chairman of PICPA’s Board
of Ethics.

Following him is another accomplished professional in the person of Mr.


MARK ALLISTER ROBIS, a Financial Management Officers at the Asian
Development Bank, since 2018. As financial management officer, Mr. Mark is
tasked in conducting sector and project-level financial due diligence and
governance activities in line with the institution’s program. He is not only a
CPA, but an MBA degree holder from the University of the Philippines, a
Certified Fraud Examiner, a Certified Management Accountant, and a
Financing Company Compliance Officer certified by the Securities and
Exchange Commission.

Next is Atty. EDEN SARNE, a private practitioner who founded Sarne Law and
Accounting Office. A graduate of BS Commerce, major in Accounting, Atty.
Eden is a Certified Public Accountant. Almost three decades later, she
completed her Bachelor of Laws degree at the Manuel L. Quezon University
and became a lawyer in 2003. She also currently serves as Legal Counsel at
the St. Jude Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Lucena City, a job that she has been
handling for more than 11 years already.

Finally, we have Mr. STEPHEN UY, who currently engages in his own private
practice as a CPA. Mr. Stephen graduated from the St. Paul School of Business
and Law with a BS in Accountancy degree and worked as the head of tax
planning, risk and compliance for Global Max Services Private, Limited, a
Singapore based company engaged in the business of management
consultancy services, now acquired by the Max’s Group of Companies, before
he embarked on his own.

There we have it, ladies and gentlemen, eight of our illustrious professionals
who shall join the ranks of PAMA members today. Madam President LOLIT,
the eight applicants are ready for their induction. You have the virtual floor.
