The teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by

The teacher should make broad plans for the class they are instructing, and specific
plans day to day. These include what kinds of improvements they want to see in the ensemble
and specific students, what kind of music they want to play, and what goals they want to set for
the ensemble, such as a certain score at a competition. This also includes specifically what
music they want to rehearse each day, what concepts they intend to teach and how they intend
to teach them, as well as how they want to use the class time overall, whether that be with full
I have a long way to go with this. I am not great at large scale planning, but I can run an
effective rehearsal or teach an effective lesson when provided with the content beforehand. As I
work with ensembles more I intend to make notes of spots in the music and overall technique
that needs improvement, as well as planning and preparing methods on how to teach this
content and these sections in different ways so that students may understand.
My artifact for this standard will be my music education classes. These will teach me the
best practices for teaching different kinds of lessons and how to effectively prepare lesson plans
