Reflection:

Roles of assessment in Making instructional decision

I learned a lot from the topics discussed by the reporters. About the Roles of assessment in making
instructional decisions. As a future educator, I learned how important a role assessment plays in
teaching. It contains the purpose of placement, purpose of formative, purpose of diagnosis, and purpose
of summative. Because assessment is a kind of systematic process of collecting and interpreting
information to make decisions about students. I learned that as future educators, we should not only
improve the way we teach. What is needed is that we also care about the children we teach. It is
important that we know or measure their strengths and weaknesses. In order for us to know their
strengths and weaknesses, we need to assess them using the different kinds of assessment. So that we
can know to what extent they have the ability to learn. Because not all students are the same. Not
everyone is a quick learner. So as teachers we need to adjust. So we need to find out which of our
students are weak in the subject you are teaching and who are good in this field. So that we know what
is the strategy that we can use to teach them so that our teaching can be effective for them. After the
lesson, we need to assess them again to find out if the strategy we used to teach them was effective. So
that even if the result is negative, we can change the quality of our teaching with a better strategy. To
have effective learning.
